Prepping for a busy season ahead… #butfirstcoffee.

Autumn is definitely upon us now. While Summer is gone, September always makes me feel recharged and ready for new beginnings. This year is no exception, with exciting new projects on the horizon.

  1. Canadian Opera Company – School Tour: Thrilled to announce I will be an Associate Director with the COC this season, remounting the school tour production of The Bremen Town Musicians by Dean Burry. Rehearsals start next month! #COCBremen
  2. Factory Foreman: If you haven’t already heard about the NAKED SEASON that Factory is doing for 2015-2016, check it out. I’ll be Assistant Director on one of the productions in March 2016 as a part of the company’s new Factory Foreman program for early career directors of colour. The production is A Line in the Sand written by Guillermo Verdecchia and Marcus Youssef. Very much looking forward to working with Nigel Shawn Williams who is directing the new production. #FactoryLITS
  3. Fun Palace Radio Variety Show: I was so delighted when this project came across my inbox. FPRVS is a live show and a podcast. They started last year with a hilarious and wickedly entertaining series of downloads that got me hooked immediately. Download them, seriously. It’s on iTunes. So when I was asked to join the team as contributor and producer, I simply couldn’t say no. The first live event is on November 2 at the Burdock Music Hall. Watch this space for exciting updates. #FunPalaceRadio
  4. b current’s 25th Anniversary Season: There was a lot of activity about the b party recently on my social media so I hope you were able to join us as we announced our 2016 Silver Anniversary Season and then danced the night away with us! #bc25

Most companies are starting their seasons this time of year so that means there are a ton of great productions vying for people’s attention. I know I’ll be trying to cram as many into my calendar as possible… stay tuned for my must-see’s in the coming months. Til then, enjoy your pumpkin flavoured treat of choice and see you at the theatre soon!
